The maker of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups is being slammed by customers who say its limited edition Reese’s Peanut Butter “Christmas Tree” looks nothing like a tree.
Reese’s has been apologizing to consumers on Twitter after receiving good-natured complaints joking its Christmas Tree candy looks more “like a turd” than a tree.
“What part of this looks like a Christmas tree?” asked on Twitter user.

Making matters worse is the fact that the ad for the Reese’s Peanut Butter Tree on Amazon shows a chocolate candy shaped like a tree.
Most of the comments mocking the turd-shaped holiday tree were in jest, as customers still said they’d eat the Christmas candy “because it’s still Reese’s.”
Despite its odd shape, the Reese’s Peanut Butter Tree has received rave reviews for its taste.
“These taste GREAT,” wrote on reviewer. “They are relatively big and thick, loaded with sweet peanut butter. To me, they taste better than the regular peanut butter cups… maybe because they are fresher and/or have more peanut butter filling.”
Another happy customer glowed: “What peanut butter cup lover wouldn’t want to find Reese’s trees in their stockings this Christmas? They taste rich and creamy smooth, with just the right combination of chocolate coating and peanut butter filling.”
