Hayden Panettiere flaunted her 40-pound post-baby weight loss at the IBF World Heavyweight Championship boxing match in Duesseldorf, Germany, to support fiance Wladimir Klitschko.
Klitschko was defeated by Tyson Fury, but Hayden cheered her man on ring-side, looking happy and healthy just one month after being treated for postpartum depression.
Panettiere said she gained 40 pounds while pregnant but appears to have lost it all with diet and exercise, Examiner reported. The 5-foot-2 Hayden said she started out at 106 pounds and weighed more than 145 pounds while pregnant.
Before getting pregnant, Panettiere, a former vegetarian, maintained her fit bikini body with a portion-controlled diet and daily workouts, which included Bikram yoga, weightlifting, walking, running, hiking, swimming and Pilates.
Hayden voluntarily checked into treatment for postpartum depression in October 2015 after revealing she suffered from severe depression, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported. Panettiere gave birth to daughter Kaya in December 2014.
“It’s something I can very much relate to,” said Hayden. “It’s something a lot of women experience.”
Panettiere took a break from filming her hit TV show, Nashville, to treat her depression.
“It’s something that needs to be talked about,” said Panettiere. “Women need to know they’re not alone and it does heal.” For tips on overcoming postnatal depression, check out The Pregnancy and Postpartum Anxiety Workbook.
