Christina Aguilera’s 46-Pound Weight Loss Sizzles: Low-Carb Diet And Yoga Tips

Aguilera, who turned 26 on Dec. 18, looked fierce in the selfie, where she wore a body-hugging black dress that accentuated her killer curves.

Aguilera is slim again after giving birth to daughter, Summer Rain, in August 2014. Christina also has a son, Max, who was born in 2008.

In 2014, Aguilera lost 46 pounds three months after giving birth to her second child with a low carb diet and yoga workouts, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

“Christina has hired a trainer and is really dedicated to getting thin again,” said a source. “She lost 46 pounds from changing her diet and working with a personal chef.”

In 2013, Aguilera lost 35 pounds by following a low-carb diet that featured lean proteins such as chicken or fish.

Other celebrities such as Britney Spears and Megan Fox have hopped on the low carb bandwagon and experienced rapid weight loss with the low carb ketogenic, Atkins and Paleo diets.

Christina hasn’t stated whether she follows any of those diets, but makes an effort to eat low carb. Low-carb diets promote rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat fuel, said Jeff Volek, author of the Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living.

Obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman agrees. Westman has helped hundreds of morbidly obese people lose thousands of pounds on the low carb ketogenic, Atkins and Paleo diets.

Reducing carbs and eating more healthy fats has been proven to aid rapid weight loss without hunger, said Dr. Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.

Aguilera said yoga workouts and an active lifestyle spurred her jaw-dropping weight loss. “I did some yoga,” said Christina, who has her own line of bestselling perfumes.

In May 2008, Aguilera lost 40 pounds just four months after giving birth to son Max by combining cardiovascular workouts and weight-lifting for 90 minutes a day, five days a week.

Christina also followed a low-carb diet like the Atkins diet, which Kim Kardashian used to lose 56 pounds. Aguilera is currently working on her eighth studio album.
