Cindy Crawford plans to retire from modeling at age 50, saying it’s time to move on to other things.
Cindy, who has been a supermodel for 30 years, has accomplished what she set out to do in fashion, and is okay with retiring from modeling.
Cindy, who revealed her anti-aging diet, workout and beauty secrets in her book, Becoming By Cindy Crawford, admits the changes she sees in the mirror each passing year is disheartening, but she’s content with her life.
“The big numbers are hard for me,” said Crawford, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported. “You wake up at 40, or almost 50, and you realize, I’m still me. [But] what day or what experience of my life would I give up to be younger? Nothing.”
“The [results are] cumulative. When a 35-year-old starts taking care of her skin, she won’t look different. It’s when you’re my age that you start seeing the payoff.”
Cindy’s anti-aging fitness secrets include a low carb diet and regular workouts featuring yoga, Pilates, hiking and weightlifting, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
Crawford maintains her stunning physique by following a low-carb diet and working out three to four times a week.
Low carb diets promote natural weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
Cindy also indulges her guilty pleasures, which include dark chocolate. “I love chocolate and I have some every day,” Crawford said.
“I like to get the Dagoba Chocodrops that are 74% cacao. I like that they are chip-sized, so a small handful satisfies.”
Cindy keeps her hair lustrous and strong by using Oribe shampoos and products. “I really like Oribe for color-treated hair—that’s what I’m using now,” said Crawford.
Cindy said her workouts typically include cardio exercise such as running, spinning, stair-climbing, and hiking. She also does Pilates, yoga, lifts weights, and circuit-trains.
Yoga is anti-aging and promotes natural weight loss by reducing stress, sculpting lean muscles and suppressing appetite, said Jennifer Aniston’s yoga teacher, Mandy Ingber, author of the bestseller Yogalosophy.
Crawford keeps the rest of her body looking good with inexpensive treatments. “I use Neutrogena Body Oil on my body after I shower,” Cindy said. “It’s so invigorating.”
