Jessica Simpson spotlighted her 70-pound post-baby weight loss in stunning new ad photos for her clothing line.
In several new Instagram photos, Jessica looks slim and sexy in workout apparel and in tiny Daisy Duke shorts.
Despite her ditzy on-air persona, Simpson is an accomplished businesswoman whose clothing and accessories lines post annual sales of $1 billion.
Simpson, who has maintained her 70-pound weight loss since 2013, is her own best advertisement for her Jessica Simpson clothing line, which fits women of all sizes.
The 5-foot-3 Simpson lost 70 pounds 6 months after giving birth to son Ace Knute in June 2013, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported. Jessica shed the same amount of weight after giving birth to daughter Maxwell in May 2012.
Simpson’s weight loss secrets were a low carb diet and rigorous daily workouts.
Jessica’s low-carb diet typically combines high-quality proteins like salmon and chicken with fresh vegetables and salads. She also avoids processed foods and limits sugar.
Low carb diets like the Atkins, Paleo and ketogenic plans promote rapid weight loss by encouraging the body to burn body fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.
Dr. David Ludwig, a physician and nutrition professor at Harvard University, agrees.
Low carb diets keep blood sugar levels stable, suppress appetite, and enhance mental clarity and mood, said Dr. Ludwig, author of the bestseller Always Hungry? Conquer Cravings, Retrain Your Fat Cells.
Jessica Simpson also works out at the gym for 45 minutes, four days a week, with her celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, creator of the 5-Factor Workout DVD.
Pasternak and Jessica usually work out at the gym four days a week, combining 10 to 20 minutes of cardio exercise, 20 to 30 minutes of resistance training, and lots of flexibility moves.
Harley said the foundation of Jessica’s workout routine is lots of walking. Pasternak, author of 5 Pounds, also trains Lady Gaga.
