Kendra Wilkinson put her hot body on display in an Instagram workout selfie following her 55-pound weight loss.
Wilkinson, who gave birth to her second child in May 2014, has maintained her 55-pound post-baby weight loss for almost two years.
Kendra’s weight loss secrets were the low-carb, high-fat Atkins diet and cardio workouts, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
The 5-foot-4 Kendra, who normally weighs 120 pounds, ballooned to 175 pounds during her second pregnancy.
After doing research, Wilkinson chose the low-carb, high-fat Atkins diet to lose the baby weight.
“I researched the perfect diet for after the baby,” she said. “I love meat, I love vegetables. [Atkins is] low-carb and it’s working so good.”
Wilkinson liked Atkins because she was able to eat delicious foods such as cheese, bacon, nuts and eggs and feel full by eating healthy fats.
Other celebrities who have lost weight on Atkins include Kim Kardashian, who recently lost 42 pounds just 3 months after giving birth to her second child in December 2015.
In 2014, Kim lost 56 pounds just 6 months after giving birth to her first child with the low-carb, high-fat Atkins plan.
Low carb, high-fat diets such as the Atkins and ketogenic diets promote rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Mark Hyman, author of Eat Fat, Get Thin.
Dr. David Ludwig, author of the bestseller Always Hungry? Conquer Cravings, Retrain Your Fat Cells, agrees. Ludwig lost 20 pounds in 3 months without feeling hungry or counting calories with a LCHF diet.
Low carb, high-fat diets keep blood sugar stable, suppress appetite, and enhance mood, said Dr. Ludwig, a physician and Harvard nutrition professor.
