Khloe Kardashian looks fierce on the cover of Shape magazine, where she discussed her 40-pound weight loss, diet and exercise secrets.

Khloe, who has been mocked as “the fat sister,” “Sasquatch” and “Big Foot,” said a healthy diet and daily exercise transformed her physically and mentally.

“When Lamar and I broke up [in 2013], I had all these emotions that I didn’t know what to do with,” Kardashian told Shape. “Some people suggested therapy, but instead I joined my local Equinox gym, where I’d get on an elliptical and watch bad reality TV. As a result, I started losing weight. ”

Khloe continued: “Once I realized I could shed some pounds that way, I began working out regularly with my trainer, Gunnar Peterson, and I made a commitment to get healthy. We did cardio, calisthenics, circuit training, Pilates, and boxing.”

Kardashian is now addicted to the endorphin high she gets from exercise, and said the accompanying 40-pound weight loss was just an added bonus.

“The gym takes all the anxiety away when I’m overwhelmed or stressed out,” said Khloe. “Now I’m back to three days a week with Gunnar and turning exercise into a habit again. Other days, Kourtney and I do ‘sister’ workouts with her trainer. If I can’t get to the trainer, I take classes at SoulCycle or Hot 8 Yoga.”

Kardashian added: “And if I don’t have time to go to a class, I use the treadmill I have at home. This morning, I couldn’t go to the gym, so I did 30 minutes on the treadmill, and now I feel so happy. It clears my mind of all the crap and puts me in a really good mood.”

Khloe has maintained her 40-pound weight loss with a dairy-free diet and regular workouts, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported. She now has the stunning Revenge Body she always wanted.

“Sticking with a regular workout routine definitely affects my diet,” said Kardashian. “When I’m mindful about exercising, I’m mindful about the fuel I’m putting in my body. And I find that when I work out in the morning, I want to make better eating choices for the rest of the day.”

Khloe’s daily menu is fairly straightforward: “I like a banana and almond butter for breakfast, a protein shake after my workout, Chinese chicken salad for lunch, and steamed veggies and chicken for dinner,” she said. “I gave up dairy, and that totally changed my body.”

Khloe snacks on pre-cut vegetables and fruits like strawberries and blackberries during the day and drinks almond milk instead of cow’s milk, which she says causes bloating and weight gain.

In addition to rigorous workouts, Kardashian said corset waist training helped her get flat abs.

Khloe shared her diet, workout, weight loss, and beauty secrets in her book, Strong Looks Better Naked.

Khloe is now proud of her body, and embraces every curve after years of being “the fat sister” in her family.

“I love my shape because I’ve earned every curve,” said Kardashian. “I work hard in the gym to get it. I feel empowered and badass that I was able to accomplish everything I have.”
