Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, was hair-and-makeup perfection while hosting President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama at Kensington Palace this week.
In the group photo, Kate looked stunning standing next to husband Prince William as they and Prince Harry welcomed the Obamas to dinner.
Even Prince George was allowed to stay up a few minutes past his bedtime to say hello to the Obamas. George looked adorable in his pajamas and robe as he shook President Obama’s hand.

Since marrying Prince William in 2011, Kate Middleton has been (rightfully) hailed as a fashion, fitness and beauty icon, thanks to her model-slim physique, elegant fashion style, and hair perfection.
Middleton, who gave birth to daughter Charlotte in May 2015, regained her slender pre-baby body less than two months after delivery.
Kate’s weight loss secrets were a low carb diet, cardio exercise, and yoga workouts, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported. It’s the same approach Middleton used to regain her fit bikini body after giving birth to her first child.
In 2014, Kate lost 29 pounds less than 2 months after giving birth to son George with a low carb diet, Examiner reported.
Low carb, high-fat diets such as the Atkins and ketogenic diets fuel rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.

Weight loss expert Dr. David Ludwig, a physician and nutrition professor at Harvard University, agrees.
By reducing carbs and eating more healthy fats, you can accelerate weight loss and enjoy consistent energy throughout the day, said Dr. Ludwig, author of Always Hungry? Conquer Cravings, Retrain Your Fat Cells.
Ludwig said the real cause of weight gain isn’t too many calories, but a diet that’s high in refined carbs and sugars. This is because our body stores fat when we experience insulin spikes, which are caused by eating too much sugar and processed grains like white bread, he explained.

Kate Middleton’s speedy weight loss was also due to a daily regimen of fresh green juices, as Celebrity Health Fitness previously reported.
The Duchess has been nicknamed “the Smoothie Queen” because she loves to use her Nutribullet blender at home to make her own healthy fruit and vegetable drinks. Daily juicing also keeps Kate’s skin radiant and wrinkle-free.
Middleton, a star college athlete, works out almost every day, combining cardio exercise, yoga and weightlifting. Kate is also an expert skier and tennis player.

Kate Middleton’s other beauty secrets include the following:
- To keep her skin wrinkle-free, Kate uses Trilogy Rosehip Oil on her face.
- To prevent stretch marks, the Duchess rubbed Bio-Oil on her belly both during and after her pregnancy.
- To keep her skin glowing and minimize pores, Middleton uses Karin Herzog Oxygen Face cream.
- Argan oil treatments hydrate and moisturize hair to lock in moisture for brilliant shine and body.
