Pregnant Hilaria Baldwin flaunted her yoga-toned body and growing baby bump on Instagram.
Hilaria, a yoga teacher, looked as gorgeous and fit as ever, thanks to daily yoga workouts and a mostly vegan diet.
Hilaria, who’s married to actor Alec Baldwin, exercises every day combining yoga, body-sculpting classes and walking, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
“I do some exercise every day,” said Baldwin. “I go to NYC’s Physique 57 (for classes) nearly every day unless I’m working or tired. I walk a lot, and early on [in my pregnancy] I went jogging — I’m a runner. I teach myself yoga every day.”
Hilaria also follows a mostly vegan diet, but occasionally eats fish. Her Instagram account is filled with photos of her plant-based meals, which include lots of salads and green smoothies.
Baldwin is currently writing a fitness book, where she’ll share her diet and weight loss secrets.
“You can be healthy and splurge too,” Baldwin wrote on Instagram. “Reading some of the comments makes me think that you feel you cannot do both. I went for a nice dinner last night and had coconut sorbet (my favorite) after and also a glass of wine.”
Hilaria follows a mostly vegan diet, but occasionally eats fish. Her Instagram account is filled with photos of her plant-based meals, which include lots of salads and green smoothies. Baldwin also works out daily.
Baldwin said she plans to raise her children on a vegan diet at home, but will allow them to eat more flexibly when they go to a friend’s house or birthday party.
The anti-aging health and weight loss effects of a vegan diet are no surprise to Dr. David Katz, director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center.
“A diet of minimally processed foods close to nature — predominantly plants — is decisively associated with health promotion and disease prevention,” said Dr. Katz, author of Disease-Proof.
Dr. Neal Barnard agrees. “Studies suggest that free radicals [toxic molecules that form in the body] contribute to aging,” said Barnard, author of 21-Day Weight Loss Kickstart. “A vegan diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, is full of antioxidants which help protect the body from damage by free radicals.”
