Alexander Skarsgard spotlighted his smoking-hot shirtless body in a new poster for his upcoming film, “The Legend Of Tarzan.”
In the poster, Alex flaunts his strapping 6-foot-4 frame as he posed alongside co-star Margot Robbie.
In the “Tarzan” reboot, the King of the Jungle has been living among the British aristocracy as John Clayton III (a.k.a. -Lord Greystoke) for 10 years.
Tarzan is then sent to the Congo as an emissary with wife Jane, where they navigate danger and fight bag guys, as Celebrity Health Fitness previously reported.
Alexander has kept a low profile after completing his star-making turn as bad-boy vampire Eric Northman in True Blood from 2008 to 2014.
In True Blood, Skarsgard had so many nude sex scenes he got comfortable walking around the set totally naked all day long.
“I don ‘t really care about that stuff, if it makes sense in the script, I really don’t care,” said Alexander. “You don’t get turned on. It’s such a technical environment.”
Skarsgard was cast for “True Blood” after his breakout performance in the 2008 HBO series, Generation Kill, where he played a Marine.
“I play a sergeant [in the film series], and I am a sergeant [in the Swedish army],” said Alex. “All those little details I learned were so valuable.”
Thanks to his global popularity from True Blood, Skarsgard said he is constantly sent scripts where he essentially plays the same character.
But Alexander, who’s more than just a pretty face, doesn’t want to be typecast and prefers to take on new challenges.
“There’s got to be something new, something fresh [when I accept a film role],” said Skarsgard. “I want to almost be intimidated when I embark on a journey. That triggers me a lot.”
“The Legend of Tarzan” is released in July 2016.
