Melissa McCarthy looked stunning at the Women In Comedy event in Hollywood, California, where she flaunted her 75-pound weight loss on the red carpet.
McCarthy was pretty in pink in a tailored cocktail dress accented with feminine bell sleeves.
Melissa, who once weighed more than 236 pounds, has shed 75 pounds during the past few months with diet and exercise.
McCarthy’s weight loss secrets were a low-carb diet and HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workouts, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
Despite her 75-pound weight loss, Melissa is vocal advocate for larger women, saying women should love their bodies no matter what their weight or size.
Melissa, who has her own all-sizes clothing line, Melissa McCarthy Seven7, said all women are beautiful, whether they’re model-skinny or voluptuous.
McCarthy is proud to champion plus-size women, whom she says have been marginalized by the fashion industry, Examiner reported.
“There’s a big thing missing where you can’t dress to your mood above a certain number,” said Melissa. “I’ve been every size under the rainbow. My sense of style never left me, but my options did.”

The Melissa McCarthy Seven7 collection has lots of cute, flattering styles for plus size, medium and super-skinny women.
McCarthy recently slimmed down to a size 14 with a low-carb diet and has never felt better. “Melissa has been on a high-protein, low carb diet,” said a source.
Low carb diets such as the ketogenic and Atkins diets promote rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Mark Hyman, author of Eat Fat, Get Thin.
In addition to fueling weight loss, clinical research shows a low carb diet reverses type 2 diabetes and prevents inflammation — a key driver of diseases such as cancer and dementia, said Dr. Hyman.

Dr. David Ludwig, author of Always Hungry? Conquer Cravings, Retrain Your Fat Cells, agrees. Ludwig lost 20 pounds in 3 months without feeling hungry or counting calories with a low-carb diet.
Low carb diets keep blood sugar stable, suppress appetite, enhance mood and prevent depression, said Dr. Ludwig, a physician and Harvard nutrition professor.
Other celebrities who have lost dramatic amounts of weight with a low-carb diet include Jessica Simpson (who lost 70 pounds) and Kim Kardashian, who lost 65 pounds in 6 months on the Atkins diet.
