Khloe Kardashian is in the best shape of her life after her 40-pound weight loss, and says exercise is crucial for relieving stress and depression.
Khloe, who was once fat-shamed by trolls as “Big Foot,” “Sasquatch,” and “Ugly Sister,” has made the cover of numerous fashion and fitness magazine since losing 40 pounds recently.
Interestingly, Kardashian said she began to lose weight once she gave up on weight loss, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported. Khloe began going to the gym regularly in 2013 to take her mind off her troubled marriage to Lamar Odom.
“My home was dark and toxic,” said Kardashian. “At the time, my family didn’t know what I was going through. I just needed a place to go. No one talked to me [at the gym]. I loved that solitude.”
Soon, Khloe started losing weight, and that’s when she got motivated to overhaul her diet and go to the gym regularly. Kardashian’s No. 1 weight loss secret was a dairy-free diet, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
“When I started seeing that I could lose weight — because I just thought my body would never change — I started taking it more seriously and eating better,” said Kardashian.
Khloe’s workouts now include Pilates, spinning, circuit-training and fat-blasting cardio sessions. Regular exercise and the accompanying weight loss has totally transformed her body and her mind. “I’m a beast at the gym,” said Kardashian.
Kardashian revealed her diet, workout, weight loss, and beauty secrets in her book, Strong Looks Better Naked.
Kardashian snacks on pre-cut vegetables and fruits like strawberries and blackberries during the day and drinks almond milk instead of cow’s milk, which she says causes bloating and weight gain.
In addition to intense workouts, Kardashian said corset waist training helped her get flat abs.
Kardashian’s beauty secrets include sunscreen and anti-aging wrinkle creams, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
Khloe is now proud of her superfit body after years of being ashamed of her physique and wishing she were smaller and skinnier.
“I love my shape because I’ve earned every curve,” said Khloe. “I work hard in the gym to get it. I feel empowered and badass that I was able to accomplish everything I have.”
