Christie Brinkley is supermodel sexy at 62, thanks to a mostly vegan diet, yoga workouts, cardio exercise, and organic skincare.

Looking at her flawless face and incredible bikini body, it’s hard to believe Brinkley is 62 years old.

Christie, a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl, said a mostly vegan diet and yoga workouts are her anti-aging beauty secrets, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

“I made the decision [to become vegetarian at age 13] because I loved animals and didn’t want to be a part of the slaughter industry, but I’ve been reaping the benefits of that karma ever since,” said Brinkley. “I’ve avoided the constant antibiotic injections into animals and the growth hormones.”

Brinkley says a positive attitude and staying engaged with the world around you is critical for happiness and healthy aging, TheImproper reported.

“I really believe attitude plays a huge part in how you feel,” said Christie, who reveals her beauty and fitness secrets in her book, Timeless Beauty. “One of the best is to care about the world around you.”

Brinkley joins a growing number of celebrity vegetarians and vegans who are sold on the anti-aging health and weight loss benefits of a plant-based diet, including Paul McCartney and Demi Moore.

The age-defying health effects of vegan and vegetarian diets are no surprise to Dr. David Katz, director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center.

“A diet of minimally processed foods close to nature — predominantly plants — is decisively associated with health promotion and disease prevention,” said Dr. Katz, author of Disease-Proof.

Dr. Neal Barnard agrees. “Studies suggest that free radicals [toxic molecules that form in the body] contribute to aging,” Barnard wrote in his book, the 21-Day Weight Loss Kickstart. “A vegan diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, is full of antioxidants which help protect the body from damage by free radicals.”

Brinkley exercises every day, alternating between yoga and light weightlifting workouts. She also works out on the Total Gym, enjoys spinning classes and walking.

Christie Brinkley said being grateful for all the blessings in your life is a key anti-aging beauty secret.

“When you feel good, you look good,” said the mom of three. “Being flexible and grateful contributes a lot to your happiness, which contributes to your health and to your looks.”

Brinkley is also a fan of sunscreen, laser skin treatments, and supplements. “I take vitamins like Biosil for my hair, skin and nails,” said Christie.

Brinkley said her age-defying skincare secrets include daily exfoliating and moisturizing.

“My routine is very simple: I cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize,” said Christie. “I use the Olay Regenerist line and Clarins neck cream, and I’m religious about wearing sunscreen daily.”

Brinkley has remained an A-list celebrity for for the past 40 years in the fickle entertainment business because she’s an authentic spokesperson for any product she represents.

“I believe that my longevity in my career is due to the fact that I’m very careful about what I endorse,” said Christie. “People know they can trust what I say.”
