Kim Kardashian spotlighted her 65-pound weight loss in a sexy swimsuit Instagram selfie amid rumors she had Photoshopped her waist to look smaller.
In the photo, Kim donned a body-hugging black swimsuit with a thigh-high cut that accentuated her tiny waist and ample cleavage.
Kardashian, who recently lost more than 65 pounds after giving birth to son Saint, is dieting and exercising to reach her goal weight of 120 pounds.
The 5-foot-2 Kim, who weighed over 200 pounds while pregnant, now weighs about 132 pounds.
Kardashian’s weight loss secrets were cardio exercise and a low-carb Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to less than 40 grams, TheImproper reported.
In 2014, Kim lost 56 pounds in 6 months with a low-carb Atkins diet that limited her daily carb intake to less than 60 grams. This time, Kardashian is consuming just 20 to 40 net grams of carbs a day, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
Low carb, high-fat diets like the Atkins and ketogenic diets promote rapid weight loss by inducing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, author of New Atkins For a New You.
Other celebrities who have lost dramatic amounts of weight on the Atkins diet include Alyssa Milano, who shed 46 pounds, and Kendra Wilkinson, who lost 55 pounds.
Reducing carbs and eating healthy fats curbs hunger, boosts energy, and keeps blood sugar stable, said weight loss expert Maria Emmerich, author of Quick & Easy Ketogenic Cooking.
Kim Kardashian’s Atkins diet menu was mostly vegetables, protein and healthy fats. She snacked on Atkins protein bars and did cardio exercise every day.
Kim said looking at old bikini photos reminded her that she lost a lot of weight before, and can do it again.
“It’s not easy,” said Kardashian. “I gained a lot of weight. I definitely feel good where I’m comfortable again and things are starting to fit.”
