About 90 percent of women have some cellulite, even if they’re thin.
While skin dimpling is mostly due to genetics, you can eliminate or minimize it with retinol and caffeine creams, said Dr. Oz.
Dr. Oz conducted a five-day experiment with several audience members, who reported excellent results. These remedies were shown to dramatically reduce the appearance of cellulite, according to Dr. Oz’s audience testers:
- Caffeine cream. Two women used the caffeine cream and retinol cream for 10 days and both noticeably improved the appearance of cellulite.
- Bromelain supplement. Bromelain is an extract derived from the stems of pineapples that has been shown to boost fat cell metabolism and reduce dimpling.
- Retinol cream. Retinol is the main ingredient in wrinkle creams, and has been shown to break down fatty deposits under the top layer of skin, thereby reducing the appearance of “cottage cheese” thighs.
- Dry brushing. Exfoliating your skin with a dry brush before you shower will give your skin a smooth appearance.
Other cellulite-fighting solutions include drinking plenty of water, exercising regularly, and massaging/exfoliating the affected area to increase blood circulation.
