Alyssa Milano maintains her 46-pound weight loss with the low carb Atkins diet and feels amazing.
The 5-foot-2 Milano slimmed down from 172 pounds to 126 pounds with the low-carb, high-fat Atkins diet, as Celebrity Health Fitness previously reported.
Like many people, Alyssa was afraid of eating fat. Since adopting Atkins, she realizes that consuming healthy fats such as olive oil and eggs is a great way to curb hunger.
“I feel so much better than I did before!” said Milano. “You know that feeling when you’re dieting where your stomachs growling and you’re angry and moody? There’s none of that [with Atkins], because you’re getting fats and proteins.”
Alyssa’s daily meals usually include chicken, fish, eggs or meat coupled with high-fiber vegetables. For snacks, Milano enjoys cut-up vegetables with hummus, nuts, or a piece of cheese.
“The protein, fiber and healthy fats in the whole foods I’m eating keep me satisfied and eliminate any cravings,” Alyssa wrote on her Atkins diet blog.
“If I’m traveling, there’s always room in my purse for a few portions of almonds, plenty of water, and my favorite Atkins Pecan Caramel Clusters to satisfy my sweet tooth.”

Alyssa Milano began the Atkins diet a few months ago to jump-start her weight loss after giving birth to her second child in September 2014.
The “Who’s The Boss” beauty was surprised she was able to lose weight without starving or feeling hungry all the time, like she did on other diets.

Other celebrities who lost weight on Atkins include Kim Kardashian, who recently lost 70 pounds just 7 months after giving birth to her second child.
The 5-foot-2 Kim, who weighed more than 200 pounds while pregnant, shed 70 pounds with Atkins and has never felt better.
