Chrissy Teigen‘s post-baby weight loss secrets are a Paleo-style diet and regular workouts that include Pilates and calisthenics.

Teigen, a Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl, shared her favorite healthy recipes in her bestselling book, Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat.

Because Chrissy stayed so fit during pregnancy, she had very little weight to lose, unlike her friend Kim Kardashian, who gained and lost 70 pounds with the low-carb Atkins diet, TheImproper reported.

Teigen’s weight loss secret is Paleo-style that occasionally includes cheese and ice cream.

The Paleo diet emphasizes high-quality animal proteins, healthy fats, vegetables and fruits, and excludes gluten, sugar, dairy, legumes, starches, alcohol and processed foods.

Paleo has a huge celebrity following, including actress Jessica Alba and Victoria’s Secret supermodel Adriana Lima, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

The Paleo diet works well for women because it reduces the blood-sugar spikes and hormone surges that fuel overeating, mood swings and weight gain, said Esther Blum, author of Cavewomen Don’t Get Fat.

Studies indicate the Paleo diet promotes weight loss and prevents cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and Alzheimer’s, said Maria Emmerich, author of Quick and Easy Ketogenic Cooking.

For exercise, Chrissy Teigen does Pilates. Pilates strengthens your core and gives you long, lean muscles, said fitness expert Cassey Ho, author of Hot Body Year Round.

Teigen also works out with fitness trainer Simone De La Rue, creator of the Body By Simone exercise DVD. De La Rue also trains Oscar winner Sandra Bullock.
