Kristin Cavallari flaunted her 20-pound post-baby weight loss on Instagram, where the mom of three spotlighted her chic fashion style.
Cavallari, who’s busier than ever with her fashion line and spokesmodeling gigs, is in the best shape of her life after three pregnancies.
Kristin quickly lost the 20 pounds she gained with each pregnancy.
Cavallari’s weight loss secrets were a Paleo-style diet, Pilates, weightlifting and cardio exercise, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
A Paleo-style diet limits processed foods and emphasizes lots of non-starchy vegetables and high-quality proteins like wild salmon, grass-fed beef, real butter and pastured eggs.
“I’m a freak about what I put in my mouth,” said Cavallari. “I’m constantly reading labels and I don’t eat any toxic chemicals.”
Kristin’s breakfast is usually a smoothie or eggs, while lunch is a salad or turkey sandwich.
For afternoon snacks, she has nuts with dried cherries or an apple with almond butter.
Kristin also eats plenty of Paleo-approved fats like olive oil, avocados, and coconut oil, which she says is her beauty secret for glowing skin and healthy hair.
“I also love avocados with olive oil and sea salt, and I put coconut oil in or on everything,” said Cavallari, who detailed her weight loss, diet and happiness secrets in her book, Balancing In Heels.
Other celebrity Paleos include Jessica Alba and Jessica Biel, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported. Both credited a low carb, Paleo based diet for their rapid post-baby weight loss and striking beauty.
Weight loss expert Esther Blum, author of Cavewomen Don’t Get Fat, said Paleo doesn’t emphasize calorie restriction and provides a healthy balance of protein, vegetables and high-quality fats that help women manage hormone fluctuations.
Clinical trials show the Paleo diet aids weight loss, prevents heart disease, lowers blood pressure, and reduces acne, said Loren Cordain, author of Real Paleo Fast and Easy and The Real Paleo Diet Cookbook.
