Hilaria Baldwin, who’s pregnant with her third child, spotlighted her yoga-toned bikini body and round baby bump on Instagram.
Despite her pregnancy, Hilaria has a bikini body any woman would envy, thanks to her longtime dedication to a mostly vegan diet, yoga and exercise.
Hilaria’s fitness secrets include daily workouts that alternate between yoga, body-sculpting classes, running, and walking, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
“I do some exercise every day,” said Baldwin. “I teach myself yoga every day.”
Hilaria follows a mostly vegan diet, although she occasionally eats fish. Her Instagram account shows photos of her plant-based meals, which include lots of salads and green smoothies.
Baldwin plans to raise her children on a vegan diet, but will allow them to eat more flexibly when they go to a friend’s house or birthday party.
Other celebrity vegans include pop icon Paul McCartney and supermodel Christie Brinkley. They both credit the plant-based diet for their youthful good looks and incredible health, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
The anti-aging health and weight loss benefits of a vegan diet are no surprise to Dr. David Katz, director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center.
“A diet of minimally processed foods close to nature — predominantly plants — is decisively associated with health promotion and disease prevention,” said Dr. Katz, author of Disease-Proof.
Dr. Neal Barnard agrees. “Free radicals [toxic molecules that form in the body] contribute to aging,” said Barnard.
“A vegan diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, is full of antioxidants which help protect the body from damage by free radicals,” said Dr. Barnard, author of 21-Day Weight Loss Kickstart.
Hilaria is the creator of At Home with Hilaria Baldwin: Fit Mommy-to-be Prenatal Yoga.
Baldwin is currently writing a fitness book entitled The Living Clearly Method, where she’ll share her diet and weight loss secrets. “The Living Clearly Method” comes out in December 2016.
