Dolly Parton looks fantastic at age 70, thanks to a healthy diet and an active lifestyle.

Parton usually follows a low-carb diet to stay slim, but admits she loves fried country cooking, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

“My best bet is to stay on low carb because on a low carb you can actually eat quite a bit of food of the things you’re allowed,” Parton told Fox. “I’m a short little thing with a big, country girl appetite so I have to really watch it.”

Dolly added: “I’ve been every size in the world, [but] I’d be big as a house if I ate everything I wanted so I’m a big eater.”

At 70, Parton looks at least a decade younger, and certainly a lot slimmer and healthier than Hillary Clinton, who’s 69.

While her weight fluctuated a lot during her 40s and 50s, Dolly has remained whippet-thin for the past 20 years.

Parton’s weight loss secrets were a low-carb diet and portion control.

“I try to stay on my low-carb diet during the week, and then when I know I have a day off, I say, ‘Make me a pan of corn bread,’” said Dolly.

Low carb, high-fat diets like the Atkins and ketogenic diets promote rapid weight loss by forcing the body to burn fat for fuel, said obesity expert Dr. Eric Westman, co-author of Keto Clarity.

Dr. David Ludwig, a physician and Harvard nutrition professor, agrees. Ludwig lost 20 pounds in 3 months without feeling hungry or counting calories with a low-carb, high-fat diet.

Low carb diets keep blood sugar stable, suppress appetite, and enhance mood, said Dr. Ludwig, author of the bestseller Always Hungry? Conquer Cravings, Retrain Your Fat Cells.

Dolly admits she hates to exercise, so don’t expect to see her slogging away on the treadmill at the gym anytime soon.

Parton openly admits to having had plastic surgery, including breast implants, liposuction, eye surgery, a chin job, as well as Botox and other fillers to achieve her wrinkle-free complexion.

“I joke that if I see something sagging, dragging, or bagging, I’m gonna get it sucked, tucked, or plucked,” Dolly laughed.

Dolly Parton, who has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, recently released her 43rd album, Pure and Simple.
