Jenna Dewan Tatum showed off her hot dancer’s body in gorgeous new ads for Danskin, where spotlighted her washboard abs, toned legs and fit glutes.
Jenna, a former dancer, stays fit with a vegan diet and cardio dance workouts, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.
Dewan Tatum lost 33 pounds just 7 weeks after giving birth to daughter Everly in June 2013.
Jenna said her weight loss secret was a mostly vegan diet and daily exercise that included cardio workouts, calisthenics, dancing and strength training.
Jenna, who became a vegetarian at age 13, said her daily diet typically includes lots of fresh vegetables, oatmeal, green salads with chopped-up veggie burger and vegan enchiladas.
Dewan joins a long list of celebrity vegans including supermodel Christie Brinkley and actress Demi Moore who are sold on the weight loss and anti-aging health benefits of a plant-based diet.
The age-defying effects of vegan and vegetarian diets are no surprise to fitness expert Brian Adams.
A plant-based diet has been shown to promote weight loss and longevity and prevent disease, said Adams, author of Vegan Diet For Easy Weight Loss.
Dr. Neal Barnard agreed. “Studies suggest that free radicals [toxic molecules that form in the body] contribute to aging,” Barnard wrote in his book, the 21-Day Weight Loss Kickstart. “A vegan diet, rich in fruits and vegetables, is full of antioxidants which help protect the body from damage by free radicals.”
Jenna Dewan Tatum also works out for 90 minutes, 4 days a week with her trainer, and does cardio dance workouts and light weightlifting on her own.
Jenna said her husband, actor Channing Tatum, is an amazing dad to their daughter. “Channing’s like a big kid,” gushed Dewan.
