Kim went through a similar controversy in July when she released photos of her tiny waist, which she also attributed to a waist trainer.
Her appearance in Fergie’s music video “MILF$,” touched off claims on social media that her cartoon-sized curves had been digitally altered as well. she angrily denied the allegations.
Khloe has been on a weight loss binge ever since her marriage to former NBA great Lamar Odom broke up. The couple went through extended divorce proceedings that included Odom’s near fatal drug overdose.
She’s documented her transition the whole way on social media.
In the latest images, the 32-year-old reality television personality is photographed in a mirror sitting on her haunches. The pose tends to exaggerate the width of her hips. She looks like Jessica Rabbit.
Even, if the image wasn’t PhotoShopped, the image is still deceptive because of the angle of the image.
Both Kim and Khloe avidly promote waist trainers to their millions of social media followers, and the image creates the impression trainers are more effective than they really are.
Health professionals urge young women not to use them. Even, Dr. Oz has panned them.
Social media critics suggested she’s taken her weight loss and waist training regime too far. “Khloe, that’s enough…” wrote one commenter.
“U use to look so healthy n thick…what happened???” wrote another.
“Disturbing… You look really sick please go to a Doctor…” another chimed in.
“I’m hoping young girls are not doing the same stupidity that you’re doing… ” said another critic.
Other celebrities also swear by the corsets. Actress Jessica Alba has credited wearing double corsets around the clock for three months for her dramatic post-baby weight loss after her two pregnancies.
Brooke Burke Charvet claims wearing a corset was responsible for her stunning post-baby weight loss after each of her four pregnancies.
“Wrapping your post-partum belly is a concept that has been around for centuries,” she said. “It helps the swelling of the uterus go back down to its original size and it supports all that baggy baby skin.”
Charvet even markets her own line of belly wraps called Baboosh.
Still the experts say keep away from them.
“Some women have actually passed out from wearing one for too long,” Christopher Ochner, a weight-loss and nutrition expert at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City told Marie Claire magazine.
“And if you keep wearing it for an extended period of time? It ain’t pretty: Think crushed organs, compressed lungs, and fractured ribs,” he added.
Ochner also says they simply don’t work.
“You can’t reduce the collection of fat in any one particular area of your body. If you push your stomach in, all the fat will go right back to where it was no matter how long [you wear the corset] for,” he advised.
