Music mogul Simon Cowell has been taken to hospital following a fall at his mansion in London. The “American Idol” creator was seen wearing a neck brace after he took a fall at around today (Oct. 27) while purportedly going to get a cup of hot milk.
His injuries are not believed to be serious. He is currently in hospital undergoing a medical examination.
No word on whether drugs or alcohol were a factor.
Simon, 58, is thought to have been going downstairs to get a cup of milk to help him sleep when the accident occurred.
“It’s been a scary morning. It was very early and Simon was going down his stairs to get some hot milk because he couldn’t sleep,” a source told London’s Sun newspaper.
“He fainted and is thought to have fallen down the stairs. An ambulance was called and he was stretchered out of the house in a neck brace surrounded by worried aides.”
Cowell has a three-year-old son, Eric, with his long-term partner Lauren Silverman.
As yet, it is not known whether Lauren or Eric were at home when Simon suffered the accident.
Simon was expected to appear in the first live show on the UK’s “X-Factor” on Saturday. Not that’s uncertain.
Earlier this year, the outspoken TV personality was forced to pull out of “X Factor” London auditions because to a mystery illness.
Simon, a self-confessed workaholic, also missed his own charity ball after a bout with the flu, according to reports.
