Heidi Klum, one of the world’s top supermodels, continues to dazzle now that she’s 45. She has a secret to her youthful looks and supple skin and it begins with regular exfoliation. She uses a body scrub twice a week.
Klum rose to fame in the late 1990s and has stayed at the top of her game for two decades, despite giving birth to four children, Helene, 14, Henry, 12, Johan, 11, and Lou, eight, with ex-husband Seal, the UK singer.
She says bi-weekly exfoliation is her secret to keeping her skin “rejuvenated.”
“I do like a scrub. It’s called Aapri. You can get it at the drugstore, because I believe it’s good to exfoliate twice a week.
“You know, it keeps your skin rejuvenating, making new skin over and over again,” she explains.
The scrub Heidi uses contains apricot kernel oil, aloe vera and vitamin E, which help to exfoliate and cleanse the skin, as well as getting rid of dead skin on the body and face, according to the manufacturer.
Aside from scrubbing, Klum uses a buttermilk cream moisturizer and keeps her make-up to a minimum when she isn’t working.
“I try to keep it simple, [but] I love Mario Badescu Buttermilk Creme,” she told E! News.
Heidi takes care of her skin because of her secret indulgence. She loves to get naked when she vacations at the beach. But not just any beach. It has to be secluded to avoid gawkers and paparazzi.
“Sunbathing naked. If there’s a place on a private island or a beach where there aren’t any people, I like to go skinny-dipping or sunbathe nude,” she says.
And sometimes, not so private beaches, too.
Klum has been photographed numerous times sunbathing nude.
