Olivia Culpo says winning the Miss Universe title was a thrill, but she’s moved beyond the beauty queen image using these makeup tricks.
These days, she says she doesn’t recognize herself when she looks at old photographs. She used to wear “too much” makeup, she confesses.
The 28-year-old model admitted overdoing her glam look and prefers to go for a more natural look. But it’s no less complicated to achieve.
She follows a 40-step beauty routine.
Her skin-care routined includes a 12-part process that starts with Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser—which Culpo favors for its moisturizing feel.

Then comes the makeup. Check out the video below for her tips.
“Looking back on those photos, I don’t even know who that person is, because it was just too much,” she said in a Vogue video.
“I’m not a huge fan of changing what your face looks like,” she explains.
“I like the idea of enhancing the things that make you different instead of creating a whole new face. I actually just like working with the canvas that you have.”
Olivia has previously talked about feeling “ugly” growing up.
The brunette beauty – who was crowned Miss Universe in 2012 – said she was “really different looking” when she was younger.
She thought her older sister “looked like a Barbie doll” while she was overweight as an adolescent.
“Honestly growing up I felt really ugly which is a terrible thing to say. I was really different looking.
“My older sister looked like the Barbie doll. I was overweight. I had to look myself in the mirror and say, ‘Okay, you’re different,’ because I was.”
Olivia recalls being put on a diet when she was just 10 years old.
“Our dad is amazing but our dad is like, Type A and has run over a dozen marathons.
“When I was 10 years old, yeah, I was put on those diets and I kind of realized, when you put in the work you get the results. It kind of all started from there.
Today, Culpo is best known as American fashion influencer and social media personality. She’s partnered or collaborated with such beauty and fashion brands as L’Oréal, Kipling and Uberliss.
She has a budding film resume, which includes two 2020 releases, “The Swing of Things” and “Venus as a Boy.”
