Hailey Bieber was always on the go until the COVID-19 lockdown changed her lifestyle. So she decided to change her diet, as well.

At 5-feet, 7-inches tall, she weighed in at 110-pounds, with 32-24-34 inch measurements.

To maintain her svelte figure as she became less active, the 24-year-old model switched to a plant-based diet while she was in quarantine.

Eight weeks later, she’s learned a few things about herself and what she needs to stay healthy.

‘I tried a plant-based diet for two months during quarantine. I felt great and I had a lot of energy, but it was not for me,” she says in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

“I don’t eat a strictly plant-based diet, and I do still eat meat. I just don’t eat a lot of it. I’ve picked up more fish, greens, and lentils.”

Like almost everybody (yes, Hailey’s a real person), she found the sudden change in her lifestyle somewhat eye-opening.

“It was very jarring to go from a busy lifestyle where I’m constantly moving to complete standstill, so I gave myself a quarantine workout routine,” she explained.

‘I used to be a dancer, so I love Pilates because it really elongates and strengthens my muscles … I also recently started to box for some cardio.

“I found that remembering the combinations and learning how to move your body in boxing has been good for mental health,” she said.

Perhaps, most importantly, Hailey has used quarantine downtime to simplify her life, which proved to be very satisfying.

“I thought I was going to have a lot of anxiety through this process and there has been some. But it’s also really shown me that the simplicity in life and kind of dialing everything back has made me so happy.

“I’ve been happier than I felt in months just from being able to be low-key and hang, and not have things on a schedule. I feel really reconnected with myself,” she said.

Hailey is far from the only celebrity who has abandoned an plant-based diet.

Anna Kendrick, the bouncy star of such movies as “Up in the Air,” “Twilight,” and the “Pitch Perfect” series, says she “fell off the wagon super hard” and is no longer sticking to her vegan diet.

The ‘Pitch Perfect’ star followed a plant-based diet for almost two years, but said she couldn’t resist dairy products.

“I was vegan for a year, or maybe even two, and it was the best I’ve ever felt. Then I just fell off the wagon super hard. I was like, ‘Well, maybe I can just do vegan most days.’ But no. It was the classic slippery-slope situation,” Anna tells Shape magazine.

To true vegan advocates, however, there is no middle ground.

Anna’s biggest vice is “carbs and dairy,” Macaroni and cheese was the deal killer. “That’s the kind of life I’m all about. And I definitely do like sweets.

“‘Everything in moderation’ is such a cliché, I know, but it’s true. The times in my life when I tried to restrict the foods I love always backfired, and I ended up feeling miserable. For me, it’s all about really being present in my body, not depriving it.”

She says she tried to compensate for her cravings by baking a lot.

“Ironically, the only time I was put off by sweets was during the phase when I was baking, because I always felt like I’d eaten three pounds of brownies by the time I was done. So then I’d give the rest away.”

These days, the 34-year-old actress says she is “powered by ginger.”

“I keep wellness shots of ginger, lemon, and cayenne from Pressed Juicery in my fridge,” she explains. “If I’m traveling and I can’t have ginger, I’ll feel sick.”

Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson, who still looks fantastic at 56, says she’s still “basically vegan,” but confesses she indulges in chocolate and cream pie.

Elle, who has sons Cy, 22, and Aurelius, 17, with former partner Arpad Busson, still eats as healthy as possible, and turns her nose up at meat, but will still indulge in the occasional treat.

“That’s the way I like to eat, but I do have a weakness for chocolate,” she says. “I love an espresso and I’m pretty good with a cream pie.”

“I eat three meals a day and I have two snacks, three snacks sometimes,” she adds. “I’m quite easy about my life because I think life is for living.”

Elle decided to overhaul her diet after turning 50 and realizing she wasn’t sleeping well or looking as good as she could.

“My hair, nails and skin were dry and damaged. I was putting on weight. I went to a nutritionist and I said, ‘Something’s not right.’ “She said, ‘Yeah, you’re doing the same things you did when you were 20.”

Elle went on a multi-vitamin and mineral probiotic, prebiotic, all-in-one greens super powder and said it changed her life.

“I know it sounds like a cliché that beauty comes from within, but in my experience it really is true. If you nourish yourself from the inside, and you really nourish yourself on a cellular level, it’s really going to show on the outside.
